Jey Uso Comments On Losing To Gunther On Saturday Night’s Main Event

• On the latest edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25, Gunther defeated Jey Uso to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

After the show went off the air, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came out and said the following to Jey:

“Michael Cole just said it, you guys all know it, you just watched that match. He said Jey Uso’s time will come. I know it doesn’t feel good, Jey, I’ve been there. But you’re a champion to me, you’re a champion to everybody here, let’s hear it for my friend, Jey Uso.”

Backstage, Jey said the following about his loss:

“I just lost the match for the World Championship. Next move for Jey Uso. Man, I gotta win the Royal Rumble now, uce.”

• Jacob Fatu vs. Braun Strowman on Saturday Night’s Main Event ended in a No Contest.

Fatu kept hitting Strowman with the running hip attack in the corner. When the referee told Fatu to stop, Fatu attacked the referee. Braun was left busted open and Fatu didn’t stop despite referees and officials coming out, and went on to hit multiple springboard moonsaults.

According to Fightful Select, the original plan for the beatdown was for Fatu to hit even more Moonsaults, kind of similar to “Big” Bronson Reed hitting his opponents with several Tsunamis.
