Jey Uso Wins Big Match On RAW After World Title Loss

Below are the results from tonight’s RAW, featuring the returns of Asuka and Goldberg, Liv Morgan, Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes & more.

– Liv Morgan kicked off tonight’s RAW and told the crowd to cheer for Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio. Dominik tried to shift the spotlight, saying the night was about Morgan, not him. Morgan agreed and said she was out there to remind everyone that the RAW Women’s Division belongs to her. She took a shot at Nikki Bella, claiming Nikki was at home watching after being attacked last week, and added that IYO SKY had an encounter with Nikki backstage. Morgan insisted that Nikki didn’t pave the way—she did—and called herself the greatest Women’s Tag Team Champion ever. She then demanded a rematch for the Women’s World Championship. IYO SKY came out and accused Morgan of nothing but complaining and being disrespectful to both her and Nikki. Morgan said she was ready to fight SKY, but only if the title was on the line. SKY responded that Morgan would have to earn that opportunity. Dominik tried to calm things down, but Morgan kept pressing for the title shot. SKY ultimately tossed her championship at Morgan, then blindsided her with a dropkick and followed it up with a roundhouse kick to the back of Dominik’s neck.

– Asuka def. Raquel Rodriguez, Ivy Nile and Stephanie Vaquer in a Fatal 4-Way match to advance to the Semi-Final of the Queen of the Ring tournament

This was Asuka’s first match in 408 days. She vowed to become Queen of the Ring in the post-match interview with Cathy Kelley. She will face Alexa Bliss in the Semi-Final this Friday on SmackDown.

– Gunther came out and celebrated becoming the World Heavyweight Champion. Gunther said Jey Uso was better than him for just one night and he’s now back to being untouchable. Gunther said he doesn’t care about rumors, as fans chanted for Goldberg. Gunther shifted his attention to Mr. Money In The Bank Seth Rollins. However, Goldberg returned and said Gunther insulted him and his family in Atlanta last year, and he’s going to end this feud in Atlanta on July 12th at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the World Heavyweight Championship.

– AJ Styles def. JD McDonagh

After the match, Dominik Mysterio attempted to hit AJ with the Intercontinental Title, but AJ saw it coming and hit Dirty Dom with a Pele Kick. Styles took the Intercontinental Championship with him.

– Penta said he doesn’t fear Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, or Bronson Reed and won’t be pushed around by the three of them.

– The following two title matches have been made official:

Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Championship at Night of Champions

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bayley for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on next week’s RAW

– Liv Morgan got injured during a match against Kairi Sane. Sane was announced the winner. Michael Cole announced that Liv suffered a dislocated shoulder.

– Karrion Kross said Sami Zayn is going to lose to Randy Orton in the King of the Ring tournament this Friday. Sami said when he’s done with the tournament, he’s going to face Kross in the ring.

– Jey Uso def. “Big” Bronson Reed, Sheamus and Rusev in a Fatal 4-Way Match to advance to the Semi-Final of the King of the Ring tournament

Bron Breakker attacked Jey during the match. Sami Zayn made the save, but Bron took him out. Penta then came out and laid out Breakker. LA Knight then pushed Reed off the top rope, which led to Jey taking advantage and pinning Reed after two splashes.

Seth Rollins came out to attack Jey after the match, but Cody Rhodes made a surprise appearance to stop Rollins. Cody and Seth had an intense face-off before Rollins decided to leave. Cody and Jey showed respect to each other to end RAW. They will square off in the Semi-Final on next week’s RAW.
