On this day in 2000, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF SmackDown!’.

It was pre-taped at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey and featured pre-taped matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF SummerSlam 2000’ PPV.

• Jim Cornette Reacts To Chris Jericho Banning Him From Watching AEW

As we noted earlier, AEW wrestler Chris Jericho banned Jim Cornette from watching AEW Dynamite and Dark because Cornette is always criticizing the product.

Cornette issued the following response to Le Champion on Twitter:

“Chris I appreciate your consideration of my sanity, but I do it as a service to the wrestling fans. They need some measure of comfort in these cosplay times we’re in. But don’t worry–I NEVER watch “Dark”. P.S. Careful of the drooling bikers. #LittleBitOfTheVirus #COVIDGod”
