WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross fell down this morning and suffered an eye injury. He suffered a similar injury a few years ago.

Below is what Good Ol’ JR tweeted about it:

“Bad fall this morning.

Still headed to Chicago for Collision!

Historic night for ⁦@AEW on ⁦@tntdrama”

JR joined Nigel McGuiness and Kevin Kelly on commentary for the main event of the debut episode of AEW Collision, where CM Punk teamed up with AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR to defeat ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe and Bullet Club Gold (Jay White & Juice Robinson) in a Trios Match.

Punk pinned Robinson to pick up the win for his team after hitting the GTS. Samoa Joe was seen throwing a chair on the entrance ramp after losing.

JR had some issues with his voice while calling this match.

Here’s what he tweeted about it after the show:

“I apologize for the way I sounded tonight.

Going to step away to heal.

Thanks for your support.

🤠”

Legendary Old School Wrestling commentator Jim Ross is famous for his play-by-play commentary roles in Bill Watt’s Mid-South Wrestling / UWF promotion (1977-1987), Jim Crockett Promotions / NWA / WCW (1987-1993) and the World Wrestling Federation / WWE (1993-2013).

Good Ol’ J.R. has also worked as the WWF/WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations for most of the Attitude Era and way into the Ruthless Aggression Era.
