WWE Hall Of Famer and arguably the greatest pro wrestling commentator of all time, Jim Ross, has been with AEW since day one. He has had his fair share of ups and downs in the promotion.

However, we have some good news! Good Ol’ JR no longer has cancer. Below is what he tweeted:

“GOOD NEWS!

MRI came back negative!

No cancer in my tibia. 🙏”

Besides working on Dynamite for years, JR was also set to be a part of the AEW Collision commentary team this year. Unfortunately, he got hurt before the debut episode of the show, but still managed to commentate on it, which ended up negatively affecting his performance.

He returned on a recent episode of Collision to call the main event match between CM Punk and Ricky Starks for the “Real” AEW World Championship.

The Wrestling Observer reports that JR’s AEW contract is set to expire in September. There’s no word on if AEW President Tony Khan will offer him a new contract.

JR has hinted on social media that he doesn’t plan to retire anytime soon. He will turn 72 in January 2024.
