During a recent edition of his weekly ‘Grilling JR’ podcast, legendary WWF/WWE play-by-play commentator Jim Ross spoke about WWE Veteran Rob Conway and stated that he should have been a bigger star in WWE, but never ended up getting a proper push.

Here’s what Ross had to say about Conway not getting pushed in WWE:

“It wasn’t due to reliability because he was a true pro. I don’t ever recall Rob being late to work, or being uncooperative or lazy or anything like that. I just don’t know what the exact reason was, timing could be one thing you can attribute it to.

He had a great skill set and was a very underrated talent. I don’t know if coming out of OVW was a negative for him or not, but in any event, he should have done better than he did.

Rob Conway was one of the best talents we produced in OVW; he just didn’t get his break when he got to the main roster. It seemed like people were down on him for whatever reason. I just never understood that.”

Rob Conway made his mark in WWE as a talented wrestler, known for his time with the promotion from 2003 to 2007. During his WWE tenure, he was a part of various storylines and tag teams, most notably as a member of La Résistance.

However, his career truly reached new heights when he transitioned to the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance).

In the NWA, Rob Conway showcased his wrestling prowess and determination, eventually achieving the pinnacle of success by winning the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. His championship reign was marked by classic battles and memorable moments, and he held the title for a substantial period, solidifying his legacy as a top-notch professional wrestler.
