• John Cena Explains Why He Smiled Before Tapping Out To GUNTHER

During his appearance on Cody Rhodes’ “What Do You Wanna Talk About” podcast, John Cena explained why he smiled before tapping out to GUNTHER in his retirement match on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event:

“I envision something beautiful. Saturday far exceeded whatever was in my heart and soul. I know I’m out there one last time. I’m out there and they hate the guy I’m working with. They universally cheer me. That is f**king rare.

For the last 5 minutes, everything I preach about story, drama, and having a conversation with the audience… the ones I love are in the front row, I know my colleagues are watching on the monitor in the back.

We’re just in a sleeper hold, but we’re having that conversation with the audience. As I essentially take my last breath and have struggled. You think of somebody, the natural causes scenario or however we picture loss in our life, all of us have been through it.

They struggle and struggle, but they hang on just long enough to make sure to say goodbye to everyone that is meaningful in their lives. That whole day was so many meaningful and vulnerable conversations.

Then you realize, I’ve connected with everybody I love. Physically, I feel great. I think it’s time to take that last breath. I hate to keep going back to obituaries, but that was, ‘this person died peacefully.'”

• MJF Reacts To Bret Hart Saying He Doesn’t Know Who MJF Is

During Bret Hart’s appearance on the Johnny I Pro Show, a fan shouted MJF’s name. The 3-time WWE Hall of Famer said:

“Who? MJF? Who is that? Just curious though, who is it? AEW wrestler? As you can tell, I don’t watch a lot anymore.”

During an interview with Sean Ross Sapp, MJF had the following to say about Bret’s comments:

“Look, the guy had a seizure. He got kicked in the f**king head. He’s old as f**k. Do I think it’s Bill Goldberg’s fault? Everything’s Bill Goldberg’s fault. Now, what I can tell you is a real story. Which makes it all the more funny that he said it.

Now granted, Bret, much like me, is a troll. Do I think he actually doesn’t know who I am? Of course he f**king knows who I am. But one of my favorite things about that day is after I absolutely roasted him and ripped him a new a$$hole, he goes walking up the stage to get to the back. He fell because of Bill Goldberg, not because of Bret, because of Bill.

Then I then try to search and find him to make sure he’s okay. I do. I say, ‘Are you okay, sir?’ and he looks at me and he goes, ‘Your promo.’ I go, ‘Yeah?’ He goes, ‘You’re real good.’ I go, ‘Yeah,’ and he goes, ‘You remind me of a guy I really f**king hated back in the day.’

I think anyone that’s watching this could put two and two together. I’ll give you a hint, it’s not Bill Goldberg. But yeah, do I blame him for it? No, he’s just f**king trolling.”
