5. Daniel Bryan Finally Bows Down To The Miz’s Demands, Rock’s Ex-Wife Talks Relationship With Vince McMahon & WWE
As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Intercontinental Champion The Miz walked out of the show and said that the Intercontinental Championship won’t be defended anywhere until he gets what he wants.
It looks like The Miz is getting what he wants as both him and SmackDown Live General Manger Daniel Bryan confirmed on Twitter that Miz’s contract is being renegotiated.
I am happy…I am ecstatic to announce that YOUR #ICTitle Champion has entered long overdue renegotiations with #SDLive GM @WWEDanielBryan.

It is important for the #ICTitle & its champion to remain on #SDLive. It is true, @mikethemiz and I have begun contract renegotiations.

Dany Garcia, who is The Rock’s ex-wife and business partner, was recently profiled by Newsweek. Garcia talked about working with The Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions, relationship with Vince McMahon and WWE, & more. She noted that Vince McMahon helped her a lot in growing her skills and that there’s no legal agreement between WWE & The Rock:
“Vince McMahon has taught me some amazing lessons that we use today as far as taking care of the audience and being an audience-driven company. He’s helped raise the lion is how he looks at it. We have no legal agreements between us. With Vince McMahon we’ve always been able to shake hands. That’s a very special relationship in this day and age, that we can operate with that level of trust.”
