• John Cena Shares Incident That Caused A WWE Star To View Him Negatively For Years

John Cena is widely respected backstage in WWE and has cemented his status as a legend, but even he has faced moments where first impressions didn’t go as planned.

Speaking on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, The GOAT shared a story about a WWE star who initially misjudged him after a brief, awkward first meeting. The wrestler admitted that their early interaction left a negative impression, but over time, they realized that the first impression didn’t reflect who Cena really was.

“A WWE performer had the courage to bring me aside and say, ‘Hey, a long time ago, we met and the meeting wasn’t good. I offered an olive branch and essentially you told me to kick rocks. It was like a very short meeting, but then I got to know you and got to work with you for extended periods of time, and saw that the foundation of your character and how you operate in your day-to-day was not that moment. I’m grateful that my vision of you was not defined by that moment because for years it was.’

And I thanked him so much for having the courage to share that. And what a reminder of like, man, if that’s all you have, that’s your perception of me. Even when you’re slim on patience, just try to lean into kindness. You can’t be perfect, but try.

That was really cool to be like, ‘Hey, for years, I thought of you as this because of two seconds we spent together. And then I got to find out there’s a little bit more to you than that.’”

• Izzi Dame Reacts To Bron Breakker Saying He’ll Take AJ Lee From CM Punk

Bron Breakker got the win for Team Vision at Survivor Series after pinning World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk in the Men’s WarGames match.

On the episode of RAW after Survivor Series, Breakker announced that he will face Punk for the title on the first RAW of 2026 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which will also mark the red brand’s first anniversary on Netflix.

On this week’s RAW, Breakker sent another message to Punk, stating that he will take the World Heavyweight Championship from The Best In The World. He then went further, saying he’s coming for his wife, AJ Lee, too.

“I’m gonna take your World Heavyweight Championship and hell, you know what? While I’m at it, I’ll take your wife too.”

CM Punk has yet to respond, as he is currently off TV filming “The Bodyguard” series on Netflix.

Bron Breakker’s girlfriend, NXT star Izzi Dame, seemingly reacted to his comments on X, posting a single word:

“Interesting.”

Izzi Dame herself scored a big win over Tatum Paxley at NXT Deadline last Saturday.
