WWE recognizes Ric Flair and John Cena as the wrestlers with most World Championship reigns: 16.

As of this writing, WWE considers Ric’s daughter Charlotte Flair a 14-time Women’s World Champion, with her last World Title reign ending at WrestleMania 39.

During an interview on the HappySadConfused podcast, Cena revealed that he and The Nature Boy will be there in person if Charlotte breaks the record and becomes a 17-time World Champion.

Below is what the Fast & Furious star said:

“I do like the legacy that Charlotte is creating for herself. I know Ric Flair had said something about if she were to win a 17th championship, we should be there, both to shake her hand and I got to see Ric recently and tell him that if that happens, we will both be there because I think that’s tremendous.”

Looking at how things are going right now, it doesn’t look like Cena is going to win another World Title ever again.

He’s 46 years old and recently said that his body can’t handle it anymore, and what he has left in the tank is what you saw at WrestleMania 39 in his match against United States Champion Austin Theory.

Another wrestler that’s close to breaking the 16 World Titles record is Randy Orton (age 43), who is a 14-time World Champion. However, the doctors have advised him to retire due to his back injury, so Orton’s future is in question right now.
