John Cena’s Opponent For Clash In Paris Revealed, Will Wrestle Tonight On SmackDown

Below are the complete results from tonight’s SmackDown, featuring John Cena, Logan Paul Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, R-Truth & more.

– John Cena kicked off tonight’s SmackDown after SummerSlam. Cena said WWE was afraid of coming to Montreal for a long time because they thought the fans would hijack the show. But Cena has never been afraid of that because he knows the audience is the show. Cena said he has 11 appearances left after tonight and he’s afraid of that. Cena said he’s afraid of letting the fans down and that fans are going to forget about him when WWE moves on without him. He’s also afraid of Brock Lesnar, but he won’t back down, and Brock Lesnar just got himself a John Cena problem. Cena told Lesnar if he wants some, he should come and get some. Cena also issued an open challenge to anyone on the roster, because he’s going out guns blazing. Logan Paul’s music hit.

Logan said this version of Cena is making him sick. Cena said Logan might’ve made the biggest mistake of his life. Cena said Logan is the biggest dumba$$ he has ever seen. Logan wants a match. Logan teased the match taking place in a beautiful French speaking country… at Clash In Paris on August 31. Drew McIntyre attacked Cena from behind and they doubled teamed him, which led to WWE Champion Cody Rhodes making the save and taking out the heels.

Cena accepted Logan’s challenge for a singles match at Clash In Paris. And tonight, Cena & Cody will team up to take on Logan and Drew in a tag team match in the main event.

After the match, Solo Sikoa said My Family Tree will soon become the WWE Tag Team Champions, and he will be the most dominant United States Champion of all time. Sikoa said he’s ready for a match tonight, but sadly no one will step up to him. Solo said he’s going to leave garbage Montreal now as he wouldn’t want to wrestle here anyway. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis came out and introduced Solo’s opponent: RAW Superstar Sami Zayn.

– Charlotte Flair is going to give Alexa Bliss a present tonight for her birthday.

– The Wyatt Sicks said they will always speak the truth. They said that there are more lessons to be learned, and that the story has just begun.

– Charlotte’s birthday gift for Alexa was Lilly’s tag team partner: Charly. Charlotte said Alexa can hug her now. Chelsea Green interrupted them and this leads to Charlotte vs. Chelsea.

– Carmelo Hayes was going to Nick Aldis for a United States Championship match, but The Miz said it takes time and instead got them a tag team match for next week.

– WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Charlotte Flair def. Chelsea Green

Chelsea went face-first into Alexa’s birthday cake during the match. Charlotte & Alexa ate cake after the match.

– Jade Cargill told WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton that next time the outcome will be different. Women’s United States Champion Giulia and Kiana James interrupted. Kiana gave her card to Cargill. Michin took the card from Cargill as she wants to call Kiana to arrange a U.S. Title match for her against Giulia.

– In a backstage segment with John Cena, R-Truth returned to his old confused comedy guy character.

– John Cena & WWE Champion Cody Rhodes def. Logan Paul & Drew McIntyre via DQ after Logan hit Cena with a Low Blow

McIntyre brutally assaulted Rhodes after the match and had his eyes on the WWE Championship.

McIntyre said the following to Cody to end SmackDown:

“I told you, Cody. I wanted you to win because I’m coming for you.”
