• “We got in trouble for that” – SmackDown Star On Match Against Giulia
WWE continues to maintain a more structured in-ring style compared to other promotions, with talent often expected to adjust their movesets to fit the company’s presentation.
Speaking on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, Jordynne Grace opened up about backstage reaction to her match with Giulia in NXT on May 6, 2025, revealing that certain aspects of the bout didn’t land well internally.
“I love her, and I’ll give you a little behind the scenes information. We got in trouble for that match. They just said it was, I think it was too much.
So I do the Michinoku Driver, and at the time, I did not know that they don’t do the Michinoku Driver like from Japan here. They do the one where you sit the person out all the way. So I didn’t know that was a thing until after this match.
It was not taken very well, but I loved the match. I love wrestling Giulia. She’s awesome. I cannot wait to wrestle her again.”
• MJF Doesn’t Want Released WWE Star In AEW
WWE has carried out its annual spring roster cuts, releasing 24 wrestlers across both the main roster and developmental brands. With several names set to enter free agency in the near future, speculation has already begun over potential signings in AEW under Tony Khan.
Former AEW World Champion MJF took to Instagram after the news broke, posting a cryptic message on his story that quickly drew attention online.
He shared a screenshot of an old tweet from Max Caster that read: “We don’t want him!”

MJF did not clarify who the post was directed at, though he has previously stated that certain departures from AEW in the past improved the backstage environment.
• AEW Wrestler Is Against Tony Khan Signing Aleister Black & Zelina Vega
Aleister Black was released by WWE in 2021 before joining AEW, where he became unhappy with his creative direction in 2022 and requested his release, which was not granted at the time.
After his AEW contract expired last year, Black returned to WWE. He was released on Friday again alongside his wife, Zelina Vega, in WWE’s latest round of cuts.
Following the releases, a fan suggested on Threads that AEW should bring Aleister Black back and reunite him with the House of Black, the faction he originally founded, also proposing that Zelina Vega be added to the group.
“Just add Zelina and we got the House of Black again.”
However, AEW Extras Coordinator and Ring Of Honor World 6-Man Tag Team Champion Shawn Dean quickly shut the idea down, dismissing the suggestion outright with a blunt: “No.”
