• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (June 28, 2013) – Old School WWF Veteran Passed Away

On this day in 2013, we lost Old School WWF Veteran “Doink The Clown” Matt Borne (Real name: Matthew Osborne) at the age of 55 due to a drug overdose.

Matt Borne played the original Doink The Clown, which was a Heel gimmick, before others took over and the character turned babyface.

Pretty much everyone considers him to be by far the very best to ever play the role of Doink.

In 1991 & 1992, Matt also wrestled for World Championship Wrestling under the name ‘Big Josh’.

• Kane Misses An Event Due To A Health Issue

Former WWF Champion Kane, who is now Mayor Glenn Jacobs, was set to appear at a fundraising event for Eric Brakey, but couldn’t due to a health issue.

While Kane’s health issue isn’t serious, the event had to be completely postponed due to it.

Below is the official statement from Brakey’s team:

“Unfortunately, we must postpone tonight’s previously scheduled Liberty and Lobsters event. Our special guest Mayor Glenn Jacobs has come down with a health issue. While it is not serious, it does make it impossible for him to attend.

A new date for the event will be announced in the coming weeks. We’ll keep you posted regarding the new date and details. Thank you for your continued support, and we hope to see you at an event in the future! – Brakey for Congress Team”
