Kazuchika Okada is All Elite.
On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Young Bucks said Sting & Darby Allin cheated at Revolution. They announced their entry in the Tag Team Title tournament.
Regarding their huge announcements, Matthew Jackson suspended “Hangman” Adam Page from The Elite without pay for putting his hands on two AEW officials at Revolution. He then fired Kenny Omega from The Elite for missing dates for no reason.
Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston interrupted them. A brawl broke out and the Bucks took him out.
NJPW Veteran Kazuchika Okada then made his return to AEW TV. He turned heel and took out Kingston. Okada has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling.
After his debut, Tokyo Sports reported that Okada inked a three-year contract with AEW for approximately 2 billion yen, which translates to roughly $13.5 million. This averages out to around $4.5 million annually.
According to the Wrestling Observer, this figure isn’t accurate:
“Okada signed a three-year deal. Tokyo Sports reported Okada signed a three-year deal at 2 billion yen ($13.5 million) over the course of the period of the contract, or an average of $4.5 million annually, but that number is not accurate at all.
The real number is considerably lower, but it was still a very large number that he signed for.”
This is similar to the rumor of Jon Moxley’s AEW salary being reported as $6 million per year back in 2019, which was confirmed to be false.
