During an episode of his weekly ‘Kliq This’ podcast, Old School WWF/WCW Legend Kevin Nash ended up blaming The Young Bucks for ending Scott Hall’s son Cody Hall’s professional wrestling career.
Here’s what Big Daddy Cool had to say about Scott’s son Cody:
“He’s 6’10”. If he wouldn’t have caught one of those Young Bucks that broke his neck over in Japan, if he just ole’d and let the guy bounce off the concrete, he’d probably be in the business somewhere, working.
Instead, he got his neck broke over in Japan, and along with that, a lot of dreams got shattered. It’s just … when you lose your dad, it’s just f*****.
And I think he and I are kind of the same. I think that maybe, I’m like the only person that misses his dad as much as he does.”
Second Generation Superstar Cody Hall broke into the business in 2012 and was highly praised as the next “larger than life” Superstar at the beginning, but hasn’t been signed by any major American promotion in the US since.
His biggest accomplishments were working for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and Pro Wrestling NOAH for a while.
Cody’s 2016 injury in a multi-man match against The Young Bucks kept him out of the ring for almost a year, but he still wrestled professionally until September 2022.
We have yet to see whether Cody Hall is actually retired for real, or will eventually end up returning to the ring.
