Kevin Nash recently disclosed that he’s dealing with herniated discs in his back, which have prevented him from attending planned appearances because he’s in a lot of pain.
The former WWF & WCW World Heavyweight Champion was set to participate in meet-and-greet sessions for MCW. However, MCW Pro Wrestling posted a video on X where Nash explained he would be unable to make it. Booker T and JBL were announced as his replacement.
In the video, Nash shared that the pain was too severe for him to travel, even to board a flight, and he doesn’t take pain medication. He expressed regret over missing the events and noted that he has a journey ahead to recover his back health.

Nash later revealed that he has injured his shoulder as well and is going to need surgery for both his back and shoulder issues.
Here’s what the 2-time WWE Hall of Famer said on his podcast:
“I can’t even sit on a f**king toilet, I’m in so much pain. So stay tuned. I’ll definitely show up at an NXT taping if I’m not being operated on during that time because it looks like I’ve got to get my shoulder operated on, on top of my (back).
Something popped on my shoulder training on Tuesday. It didn’t bleed out. It’s sore as f**k. I was using a Cybex row machine. It’s a selectorized machine. It stacks 200. I had 170 on it; I was on maybe rep 8 or 9. I felt it.
One of them is my nerve is pinched, and it’s making my quad not fire. The other one is, when I wipe my a$$, I scream.
Something popped, and it’s weird because it doesn’t bleed out. It’s sore as f**k. It’s crunching. I heard something pop. Never stops man.”
In an update, Nash gave some good news about his back issues:
“I sent a video of me apologizing for not traveling this past weekend. It’s due to an injury that will be repaired. Not a health issue. I’m in perfect health. I have a disc herniation at two levels. The procedure is same day and I’ll walk out to my vehicle. I’ll be 100% in 3 months.”
