Below are some top news stories of the day, featuring Kevin Nash, Bloodsport, and Rey Fenix.

• On his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash called Kurt Angle the greatest worker in the history of wrestling and put over the 2000s era of TNA Wrestling.

Here’s what the 2-time WWE Hall of Famer said about his fellow Main Event Mafia member:

“I think Kurt is the greatest worker that has ever been in this business. People, I guess, weren’t privy to his run at TNA. I guess because it’s not out there on the (WWE) Network, but that TNA era of the AJs, the Alex Shelleys, the Sabins, Homicide, I mean, there was so much talent in the locker room and so much talent in that six-sided ring.

I don’t think that era of wrestling in TNA get their flowers.”

• Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII has announced an inter-promotional match, featuring WWE’s Karrion Kross against NWA’s JR Kratos.

This announcement was made by Barnett on X:

“A killer and a God of War – Two titans, set for all out WAR.

The walls will crack and crumble, the ground will shake, and lights will flicker from every impact. Let’s hope the Palms can stay standing after these two collide.

Karrion Kross vs J.R. Kratos at Josh Barnett’s: Bloodsport XIII.”

• Rey Fenix will make his official WWE debut on this Friday’s episode of SmackDown.

According to WrestleVotes, Fenix’s WWE debut match opponent could be Andrade:

“Don’t know for sure but I can go back to the SmackDown three weeks ago, the one from Italy. Written in the show before the Liv Morgan vs. Jade Cargill match, there was to be a backstage segment with Nick Aldis telling Andrade that there are new talent coming to SmackDown, and he would want him to work with them first.

That segment got cut. It was not supposed to be on last week’s show, so I don’t know where it stands.

However, that would indicate to me that at least they had plans, at the minimum, for Andrade vs. Rey Fenix. We’ll see if that happens.”
