• Kevin Nash’s Movie Shut Down

Kevin Nash faced significant disruption to his August schedule due to a movie project in Syracuse being shut down. On his Kliq This podcast, Nash described his demanding August, which included extensive travel to Alaska, SummerSlam in New Jersey, and England. The movie shoot was initially planned for five or six days, with Nash returning from Philadelphia on a Saturday, driving home, and then flying to Syracuse on Tuesday.

The primary reasons for the movie’s shutdown were:

Unsecured Locations: The production had not secured all necessary filming locations, even after a start shoot date had been set.

SAG Funding Issues: Funds for SAG (Screen Actors Guild) were not properly secured and were supposed to be held in escrow prior to any travel. This led to a “do not work” notice from SAG, instructing actors not to show up on set or participate in any related activities like costume fittings.

The shutdown meant Nash lost out on a potential $45,000 and the opportunity to gain insurance coverage through the project. Nash expressed his frustration, stating he was “completely frazzled” by the situation and was not willing to endure such issues for “vanity” projects. He noted that no principal photography had begun, meaning nothing had been shot for the film.

• Why Peacock Agreed To Let WWE Air The Rest Of 2025 PLEs On ESPN

In a move that’s come much sooner than anticipated, ESPN is set to broadcast a WWE premium live event called “Wrestlepalooza” on September 20. This surprise announcement comes ahead of the two companies’ planned 5-year partnership, which was expected to begin in 2026. The event will take place live from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

ESPN will also be showing two other major WWE PLEs this fall: “Crown Jewel” on October 11 and “Survivor Series” on November 29. These broadcasts will serve as a preview of what’s to come once the new long-term deal is in full swing.

Even though ESPN is set to broadcast the rest of WWE’s 2025 main roster PLEs, Peacock has not sold its remaining rights. Instead, the deal was made directly between WWE and Peacock, with ESPN being brought in afterward.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a key factor in this arrangement is the belief that by making WrestleMania and SummerSlam two-night events, WWE essentially fulfilled its quota of Premium Live Events for Peacock ahead of schedule. As a result, Peacock’s final WWE main roster PLE will be Clash In Paris on August 31.

While WWE’s PLEs are moving to ESPN, a new agreement has been reached to bring new WWE main roster programming to Peacock. Details on what this new programming will be are expected to be announced in the near future.

• Condolences To Trish Stratus

We are saddened to report that Trish Stratus’ mother has passed away due to cancer. The WWE Hall of Famer issued the following statement:

“My mama is gone. I don’t even know how to write this… she passed last week and I haven’t been able to find the words. It’s as if writing the words makes it more real that my best friend, my safe place, my go-to, the one who was there for every single moment of my life, showing up for me in ways that no one else ever could for every milestone, every heartbreak, every joy – is gone. She was always there and now she won’t be.

You’ve all seen her by my side – cheering me on from the crowd, along for my travels, exceeding expectations as a Nana – practically a second mom to my children. My kids only know a life where their Nana was always there. Explaining to them that she won’t be there anymore was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do.

She fought through so many battles in her life with a strength that amazed me, and even in her hardest days, she was still thinking of everyone else first. That was my mama – selfless, brave, and full of love.

My heart feels broken in a way I can’t describe. Life will never feel the same. I can’t imagine my world without her… not being able to pick up the phone to hear her voice, her advice, her laugh. People have told me time will heal but right now it just feels like a piece of me will be missing forever and I will never feel whole again.

My only solace is that I will carry her in everything I do and mama, I promise your grandkids will never forget the incredible woman their Nana was.

Thank you for loving me so fiercely, for shaping me into who I am, and for showing me what it means to be resilient. You are my literal fighting spirit and dammit, I’m gonna miss you so much! #fuckcancer #mamastratus”
