• Kevin Owens Informs WWE He Doesn’t Want To Work WWE Super ShowDown In Saudi Arabia, Possible Reason Behind His Decision

WWE Officials told their wrestlers last year that no one will be forced to work the Saudi Arabia PPVs and that wrestlers are free to inform them about not wanting to work the show (and there will be no heat on them).

According to Fightful, SmackDown Superstar Kevin Owens has informed WWE that he doesn’t want to work the WWE Super ShowDown 2019 PPV in Saudi Arabia, most likely because his friend, Sami Zayn, isn’t allowed to work those shows because he is a Syrian Muslim:

“We weren’t told a specific reason as to why Owens came to the decision, but his friend and longtime tag team partner Sami Zayn has been off of those shows because of strained relationships between Syria and Saudi Arabia.”

Speaking of WWE Super ShowDown 2019 in Saudi Arabia, below is the updated match-card for this PPV:

– The Undertaker vs. Goldberg

– Triple H vs. Randy Orton

– Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon

– Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley

WWE Championship Match: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Intercontinental Championship Match: “The Demon King” Finn Balor (c) vs. Andrade

– 50 Man Battle Royal
