Kevin Owens Is Now An Upper Mid-Card Talent In WWE

According to latest reports, Kevin Owens, the man who defeated 15 time World Champion John Cena in his very 1st WWE match, is now an “upper mid-card” talent on the main roster.

It is being reported that his rivalry with John Cena is over (well, he did better than Bray Wyatt & Rusev!), and that’s why it is being seen as a drop for his status in WWE.

Kevin Owens is now being compared to WWE Superstars such as Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro & Rusev, who belong to the upper mid-card position. WWE creative doesn’t view him on the same level as John Cena, Randy Orton & WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who are main event talents.

Kevin Owens was among the mid-card talents that came out to separate The Undertaker & Brock Lesnar on WWE Raw this week, which also suggests his main roster downfall. With John Cena possibly facing Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2015, there are no SummerSlam plans for Kevin Owens at the moment.

He will be facing Finn Balor for the NXT Title the night before SummerSlam, at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.
