• Kurt Angle Wanted To Be Treated Like Goldberg In His Final WWE Run
On the latest episode of Broken Skull Sessions with Stone Cold Steve Austin, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle appeared to discuss a wide range of topics.
During the conversation, Angle discussed his final WWE run and said that it didn’t exactly go the way he wanted it to go.
“I wanted to do what Goldberg did. Have a quick title run, main event – we’re gone.
I understand that [I’m not the commodity I once was], but I also understand a lot of wrestlers come back that aren’t a commodity anymore – someone like Goldberg did win the title.
Don’t get me wrong, I know why and I know that’s the best position for him [Goldberg], but I just thought I would be treated a little differently. It’s OK, I’m just happy I was able to do it.”
As we noted before, The Olympic Gold Medalist wanted a WWE Championship run one last time before retiring.
