Ladder Match Added To WrestleMania 33

WrestleMania 33 - Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Cesaro & Sheamus vs. Enzo Amore & Big Cass for the Raw Tag Team Championship

As we saw during last night’s Raw, a Ladder came into play between the wrestlers involved in the Raw Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 33.

Due to this, WWE has announced that the Raw Tag Team Titles will now be defended in a Ladder match at WrestleMania 33! Below is what WWE posted:

“If Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson want to retain their Raw Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 33, they’re going to have to do so by climbing a ladder and grabbing the titles as they hang high above the ring.

Following the chaotic events of Raw, which left Sheamus with 15 stitches on his brow, WrestleMania’s Triple Threat Match between the bruisers in black and their challengers, Enzo Amore & Big Cass and Cesaro & Sheamus, is now a Ladder Match, WWE.com has confirmed.

The showdown received the steely stipulation after the foreign object was brought into play by Gallows & Anderson and used amid the WrestleMania opponents’ fight for momentum Monday night. It was during the fray that The Celtic Warrior absorbed a heinous blast with the ladder, resulting in the need for medical assistance and 15 stitches.

Since The New Day’s record-breaking 483-day tag team title reign was broken by the unlikely Swiss-Irish connection at Roadblock: End of the Line, the championship has been hotly contested among all three teams involved in WrestleMania’s title clash. Gallows & Anderson won their very first WWE championship over the international pair of Cesaro & Sheamus on the Royal Rumble Kickoff, and although Enzo & Big Cass have yet to lay claim to the elusive title, they’ve swarmed the tag team prize like bees on honey.

With the addition of steel ladders to Sunday’s contest, the title bout is destined to be a hard-hitting fight. Who will walk out of Orlando the Raw Tag Team Champions? Don’t miss this high-stakes Raw Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Ladder Match at WrestleMania 33 this Sunday, April 2, at 7 ET/4 PT, streaming live on WWE Network.”
