• Latest On Ted DiBiase Jr. Facing 45 Years In Prison

Former WWE Superstar Ted DiBiase Jr. has asked the court to postpone his criminal trial, which is set to begin on August 19 in the Mississippi Southern District Court. His lawyers filed the motion on July 2, explaining that prosecutors only recently provided nearly 48 hours of video evidence, more than two years after DiBiase was indicted and just 60 days before the trial. The defense argues this footage shows DiBiase performed significant work under the contracts he is accused of faking. They want extra time to review the videos thoroughly, saying it is necessary for a fair trial.

DiBiase was arrested in April 2023 and faces multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud and theft related to federal funds, wire fraud, and money laundering. Authorities claim he used two companies he owned to create fake contracts and defraud the state of Mississippi. They say the money was meant for families in need but was instead spent on personal items like a boat, cars, and a house down payment.

If found guilty on all counts, the 42-year-old could serve up to 45 years in prison and pay fines totaling up to $1 million. DiBiase has pleaded not guilty.

• Why Victoria Won’t Appear At WWE Evolution 2

Former WWE Women’s Champion Victoria has revealed she won’t take part in Evolution 2 this Sunday. She shared the news during an Instagram Live session, where she mentioned her back has been causing problems lately. Victoria said she wasn’t booked for the event and admitted, “My back is kind of funky, I’ll be honest with you.” Though Victoria signed a WWE Legends deal earlier this year, her in-ring appearances have been very limited. The last time she wrestled in WWE was in 2021 when she surprised fans by entering the Women’s Royal Rumble match. After that, she only competed once more, in a tag team match on TNA iMPACT in January 2023.

Victoria has also recently posted on social media about a hospital visit due to intense back pain, which likely contributes to her decision to skip Evolution 2. Fans hoping to see more Legends at the event might be disappointed, as Kelly Kelly, another name under contract a WWE Legends contract, hinted she won’t be appearing either. When asked about returning for Evolution 2, Kelly Kelly simply responded, “I wish,” along with a shrug emoji.

That said, Evolution 2 will still bring some nostalgia. Trish Stratus is scheduled to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship, and Nikki Bella is confirmed to compete in the #1 contender’s Battle Royal.
