• Latest Update On AJ Styles
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles got injured at the December 29th WWE Live Event in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The O.C. vs. The Judgment Day was taking place at this event, when an over the top rope spot got the former WWE Champion hurt.
The referee threw the X-sign (which indicates a legitimate injury) and Styles was helped to the back.
Styles gave the following update on his injury on Twitter:
“Just want you guys to know that I’m ok. Broken ankle is what I’m dealing with. No surgery, this just takes some time to recover.
This will be the longest I’ve ever been out of the ring. Thanks for the prayers and get well wishes.”

This injury resulted in Styles missing WrestleMania 39. This was first time that Styles missed WrestleMania since his 2016 WWE debut, after wrestling at 7 straight WrestleManias.
In an update from PWInsider, Styles is still recovering and hasn’t reported to the WWE Performance Center yet:
“He was not around WrestleMania weekend and we are told it’s just a matter of him being cleared to return from the broken ankle he suffered in December and being ready to perform.
We haven’t heard he’s been at the WWE Performance Center or anywhere else on the road for the company.”
No word yet on if his name will be brought up during next week’s Draft.
