The dream match between Roman Reigns and The Rock has been considered for several WrestleManias by WWE.

It was planned for WrestleMania 40 last year, but was sidelined when fans pushed for Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship and finish the story.

During Monday’s RAW on Netflix premiere, Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat match. Afterward, The Rock appeared and placed the Ula Fala around Reigns’ neck, and hugged him.

Addressing the possibility of a match with The Rock, Reigns said the following during the RAW post show:

“I don’t have to tease anything. You guys do it for us. We’re just gonna let the internet do its thing. That would defeat the whole purpose of this. The internet won’t do its thing if I say yes or no, so we’ll see.”

While WWE considered The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes for WrestleMania 41, it is no longer happening. The Rock’s future in wrestling remains uncertain, dependent on his interest and in-ring readiness.

The Wrestling Observer reported the following about Rock vs. Reigns:

“The idea of Rock vs. Reigns, we have been told by several, is not dead, and they still could go to that in the future, perhaps Mania but the idea of somewhere else, particularly with the crazy money some places are paying fighters, that could also be an option.”

It’s always possible that Saudi Arabia pays WWE an insane amount of money to book Rock vs. Reigns in their country, just like they secured Royal Rumble 2026 after paying $55 million.
