Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving TNA and NXT.

• On his Kliq This podcast, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recalled his time in TNA Wrestling. Here’s what Nash said:

“I had a ball at TNA. When I had to wrestle, I worked hard. I was stoned all the time (laughs), I can’t really speak to… it was like 68 minutes from my house to the backlot.

I was happy at TNA. When you don’t have to get on an airplane to work for a company, I did house shows for them, we did some pay-per-views here and there, but it was so nice because you could do all your other bullsh*t, too.

You could do your side hustle, and it was like a good, solid, steady paycheck that covered your fundamentals, and anything you made after that was gravy.

Plus, you could do a movie, it wasn’t like, ‘Oh, f**k, are they gonna give me the time off?’ It’s like, ‘Yeah, no problem.’ It was cool.

It was come and go as you please, do your f**king gig. You’re not gonna make a million dollars, but (it’s good).”

In TNA, Nash won the Legends Championship twice and also held the World Tag Team Championship (with Scott Hall and Eric Young).

• On this week’s NXT, Ridge Holland & Ethan Page defeated NXT Champion Trick Williams & Bubba Ray Dudley.

Holland pinned Williams. The heels attacked Page after the match, but Bubba saved Williams. D-Von Dudley then made his return and brought a table with him. Bubba & Trick double-chokeslammed Page through the table.

According to Fightful Select, D-Von didn’t join forces with Bubba to hit their legendary 3D through a table because WWE hasn’t cleared him for physicality.

For those who don’t know, D-Von suffered a stroke in November 2020. He also underwent a spinal fusion surgery in 2022.
