On the 83 Weeks podcast, Lex Luger told Eric Bischoff and Diamond Dallas Page that he got married recently:
“Got married. You guys threw Cody on me for the Hall of Fame thing, but I’ve just been atomic bombing all my friends who didn’t know. 17 Years – didn’t date. No women in my life at all. I met this girl last year, Robyn, and we started hanging out a little bit, sparks started flying a little bit.
We were gonna elope, but Pastor Steve, he was in my hotel room, we got done praying, I got saved, April 23rd of ’06, he ordained me about 9 years later, and now he married us Friday night on the back patio of our house with just a few people there.
We didn’t wanna do the big wedding thing, but it was really special, and to have Pastor Steve there for my salvation, my ordination, and my marriage, like the trifecta. He’s like my own brother.”
This is a special year for Luger. Along with his marriage, Luger is scheduled to return to WWE TV next month as he will get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 41 weekend.
Word going on is that WCW Legend Sting could be the one who inducts Luger into the Hall of Fame.
While Sting has remained affiliated with All Elite Wrestling since his retirement, operating under a new Legends-style contract, the possibility of a WWE appearance has become a hot topic of discussion. The crucial question remains: would AEW grant permission for Sting to induct Luger?
Fightful Select reports that WWE was prepared, or may have already begun, to make overtures to secure Sting’s participation. Notably, Luger and his inner circle have communicated to WWE that Sting is their preferred inductor.
The logistics of this potential crossover are complex, involving contractual obligations and inter-promotional cooperation. However, the strong personal bond between Sting and Luger adds significant weight to the possibility. Their shared history, marked by both intense rivalries and successful tag team ventures, makes Sting’s presence at Luger’s induction a fitting tribute.
Adding fuel to the fire, recent developments suggest that Sting’s involvement in WrestleMania week in Las Vegas has expanded beyond his initial plans. “Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve heard Sting’s original plans called for him to only be in Vegas during WrestleMania week for a limited schedule, and it’s now expanded,” Fightful Select revealed.
The WWE Hall of Fame 2025 ceremony is set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, specifically at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The event will be held within the resort’s BleauLive Theater.
This ceremony is scheduled to occur on April 18, the night before WrestleMania 41, making it a key part of the WrestleMania weekend festivities.
So far, WWE has announced Triple H, Michelle McCool, Lex Luger, and The Natural Disasters (Earthquake & Typhoon) as this year’s inductees.
