On this day in Pro Wrestling history on September 7, 1988, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘NWA Clash Of The Champions III: Fall Brawl’ LIVE on TBS from the Albany Civic Center in Albany, Georgia.

This was the third out of 35 NWA/WCW Clash of the Champions events that all aired on TBS between 1988 and 1997.

The results from that night:

– NWA World TV Championship: Mike Rotunda (c) wrestled Brad Armstrong to a time limit draw

– Nikita Koloff & Steve Williams defeated The Sheepherders

– Dusty Rhodes defeated Kevin Sullivan

– Russian Chain Match: Ricky Morton defeated Ivan Koloff

– NWA United States Heavyweight Championship: Sting defeated Barry Windham (c) by DQ

• List Of Wrestlers Possibly Getting Drafted To SmackDown

The following wrestlers recently did a photoshoot for SmackDown on FOX and are also featured in FOX advertisements (so it’s possible that they get drafted to SmackDown soon):

– The Miz

– Rey Mysterio

– Alexa Bliss (current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion)

– Becky Lynch (current RAW Women’s Champion)

According to Post Wrestling, WWE Draft is set to take place on the October 11th edition of SmackDown and October 14th edition of RAW.

• Kurt Angle & His Wife Adopt A Son

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle’s wife, Giovanna Angle, revealed on Twitter that they’ve adopted a teenage son:

September 3 2019, My husband and I gained another son. God is good yall #TeenAdoption #Blessed

Angle posted the following about it on Instagram:

“My wife and I are in Bulgaria visiting our adopted son. We ran into this at the mall. It’s a mini wrestling ring. I heard @rusevig trained here when he was a toddler. Lol. #Bulgaria #adoption #newfamilymember”
