With WWE RAW set to debut on Netflix, significant changes are coming to WWE’s content distribution, particularly internationally. While RAW’s move to Netflix in the U.S. is limited to that show, the WWE Network’s closure internationally means Netflix will become the exclusive home for WWE content outside of USA.
The Wrestling Observer revealed that only a limited selection of legacy content will be available on Netflix at launch. Initially, about 40 pay-per-views, including WrestleManias, Royal Rumbles, and select ECW events, will be accessible, alongside some older episodes of RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. However, extensive archives, such as WCW, Mid-South Wrestling, and other historic promotions, will not be included.
New content will be gradually added to Netflix, starting with a second batch of pay-per-views in February. Over time, more WWE programming will be introduced, but non-WWE promotions will remain absent for at least the first few months.
