Ford went for his Frog Splash finisher on Austin Theory, but Theory got his knees up. Seth Rollins then hit Ford with the Stomp. Theory then pinned Ford.
Montez was then helped to the back by the trainers.
WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H tweeted the following about Ford after last night’s performance:
“Missed mentioning at the press conference…
But Montez Ford is a STAR.”
Logan Paul (who interfered in this match to attack Rollins) also praised Montez. Below is what he tweeted:
“Montez Ford the real MVP.”
Many wrestlers have praised Montez in the past and see him as a singles star in the future and even think he’ll become WWE Champion someday, and that includes The Rock.
