At the WWE Crown Jewel 2023 premium live event, Logan Paul punched Rey Mysterio using brass knuckles and pinned him to win the United States Championship.

This was Logan’s first title win in WWE. After the match, Logan said to Rey that he did what he had to do.

In an interview after the show, Logan had the following to say to the fans who are saying he didn’t ‘earn’ the US Title:

“Been seeing a lot of ya’ll saying I’m spoon fed, that this title was given to me, that I haven’t earned it. I’m from Cleaveland, everything is earned, nothing is given.

I work harder than your simple minds can even comprehend. I do more in 12 hours than you do in 12 months. My blueprint cannot be duplicated, my pace is unmatched.

I’m not playing the same game as ya’ll. I’ve beaten the matrix. I am the architect. Mark my words, the WWE Universe is my universe. And this belt is just the beginning of that. Watch what I can do.”

During the match, Paul saved Mysterio from landing on his head and hurting his neck in the process, that too at the age of almost 49.

Triple H tweeted the following about Logan’s title win:

“Just 8 matches into his career, Logan Paul has cemented his place in the world of sports entertainment… and now, he’s got the hardware to prove it. Congratulations to your new U.S. Champion, ‘The Maverick’ Logan Paul.”

Logan replied:

“Thanks for believing in me boss 👊🏼”
