Luchasaurus, also known as Killswitch, is facing serious health complications from severe pneumonia in both lungs, leaving his in-ring return uncertain.
After collapsing at home in late September with dangerously low blood oxygen levels below 80%, his condition has worsened.
Initially, there was hope for his recovery, as the Wrestling Observer reported:
“I heard he was supposed to be back in the gym on Monday. So unless there was some turnaround, I think he’s getting better.”
However, Bryan Alvarez later corrected this on Wrestling Observer Live, revealing Luchasaurus had suffered setbacks: “He is not back in the gym and he will not be back in the gym for a while, and he’s not going to be back wrestling, probably, for a while. And hopefully, he will be back wrestling in a while.”
Alvarez also highlighted the complications:
“Apparently, there were complications. He ends up getting this flu and bad oxygen uptake… turned into pneumonia… they’ve been running test after test, and apparently there may be permanent damage. They found calcification in a heart valve, and his body is not producing iron.”
While it’s unclear if this will be a career-ending issue, Alvarez added that the risk is real:
“I don’t want to say it’s a career-ending issue, but it could be a career-ending issue.”
Luchasaurus remains on oxygen, with doctors monitoring his condition closely due to the high risk of relapse.
