A picture is going viral that shows WWE Superstar Ludwig Kaiser doing the Hitler salute during a recent event in Germany.
Lots of fans came to his defense and claimed that it was just a screenshot taken out of a video, that would really only show him waving goodbye at his fans.
Others claimed it was made up completely, which would mean that the photo was fake, maybe even made by using some sort of AI (Artificial intelligence) software.
However, a Twitter user posted a video that clearly shows that the screenshot is from a real legitimate video and he did in fact do the position with his right arm and his hand for a moment, which is at least irritating, to say the least.
The video can be seen here:
It doesn’t look like Kaiser meant to do the actual Hitler salute here, so it most likely did not happen on purpose.
The huge controversy in this situation is that this salute is actually a legitimate crime in Germany, that even results in prison-time there more often than not. That’s a fact that Ludwig (Real name Marcel Barthel) is well aware of as he is a German who lived in Germany all his life, before being signed by WWE.
In 2004, JBL did a legitimate Hitler salute on purpose during a WWE house show in Germany and intended to do it to gain a lot of additional heat that way, which caused multiple TV channels to cancel his scheduled appearances and even his own TV show that had nothing to do with professional wrestling, because at that time JBL had become a self-made millionaire and was a greatly respected source for stock-market advice.
