• Mae Young Classic Competitor Suffers Serious Injury During Last Night’s Tapings – Reportedly Breaks Her Leg

Mae Young Classic competitor Tegan Knox suffered a serious injury to her leg during her match with Rhea Ripley.

During her quarterfinal match with Rhea, Tegan went for a dive on the outside and landed awkwardly on her leg. Referee then threw the ‘X’ sign (which represents a legitimate injury). The doctors checked on her, but she decided to continue the match.

However, she screamed in pain after Rhea hit her with a dropkick and Tegan threw the ‘X’ sign herself and the match was stopped. Rhea was declared the winner via stoppage.

WWE issued the following statement regarding this:

“Tegan Nox suffered an injury to her left leg during Thursday’s Mae Young Classic tapings. The injury occurred during a dive to the outside of the ring. She was transported to a local medical facility for further examination.

The extent of Nox’s injury is not known at this time.”

ProWrestlingSheet is reporting that Tegan might have suffered a broken leg.

We’ll keep you updated regarding this.
