• Main Roster Brand For Top NXT Star’s Call-Up Revealed
Joe Hendry is officially moving to the big leagues. After having a successful run in NXT, he is headed to the main roster as a full-time member of RAW, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.
While there was plenty of talk that he might end up on SmackDown, WWE creative decided that RAW was the better fit for his unique style.
WWE has already announced that Hendry will have a concert on next week’s RAW.
On this week’s NXT, Keanu Carver defeated Hendry via referee stoppage. This move effectively ends his regular run on the NXT brand, though the door is still open for him to make a few guest appearances there if needed.
• Cam’ron Rips Roman Reigns After Being Called “Washed” On RAW
During WrestleMania 42 week, Jey Uso had a physical altercation with rapper Cam’ron after tensions escalated over comments made about Uso’s placement on the WrestleMania card. Cam’ron had referred to him as a “Saturday WrestleMania wrestler,” a remark that downplayed his importance on the show, and also expressed frustration at his producer for bringing in Uso for the appearance. This quickly led to things turning physical before producers and co-hosts stepped in to break it up.
On the RAW after WrestleMania, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns then referenced the situation, questioning how Jey Uso allowed a “washed” rapper to talk to him that way.
Cam’ron responded in a video posted on Instagram today, taking shots at Reigns while also calling out his “washed” label and challenging the family to a match at SummerSlam.
“Well, well, look what we have here—Roman Reigns, the little dog, the Tribal Chief… Jey Uso, you gonna get your big cousin, all because he’s a Sunday WrestleMania ni***. But I tell you what—he lost them last two WrestleManias.
You call me an old washed-up ’90s rapper? I was never washed. I’ll take you to the cleaners. ’90s, I was rapping; 2000s, I was active; 2010, I was getting money; now I own the most dangerous sports show in the world.
Bring your a$$ here. And who the f**k wins WrestleMania and then sits around for Raw? You know why? ’Cause you’re an employee and a sucker—you do what Triple H tells you to do. But I get it—Triple H, I’ll tell you what: get all the Usos, let’s set this up for SummerSlam.”
He also added the following in the caption:
