• Becky Lynch Comments On Wanting A Women’s Tag Team Division In WWE

During a recent appearance on The Wrestling Compadres Podcast, Becky Lynch talked about wanting a Women’s tag team division in the WWE.

Below is what she said:

“I am constantly thinking about it and brainstorming and pitching for it. Even if I am not involved with it, I still think that it would be a wonderful step in the Women’s progression. When I say involved in it, I say that because I am going after the Women’s championship and that is where I want to be, but in the future that is where I want to be, especially in the future.

We have all these women in the Mae Young Classic and have so many girls and having such a deep roster. We still have a shallow side – not shallow, but there are a few women on either side of Raw and SmackDown. We probably have like 8-10 on either side, so that is kind of tricky do a tag title and Women’s title, but if we can combine and go through all the different things and connect, not sure if that is possible, but who knows.”

Kenny Omega’s name has been in lights all over the place and he’s performed at an excellent level for years. But Omega still hasn’t headlined for WWE, however that could always change.

WWE has a ton of money at this point (after their huge TV deals for RAW & SmackDown Live) and could spend any amount of money on whoever they like especially someone like Kenny Omega. After his IWGP Heavyweight Championship win at Dominion, it doesn’t seem like Omega has much left to accomplish in NJPW.

WrestleVotes was recently asked on Twitter during a Q&A session if WWE would sign Omega this year.

It looks like WWE will be trying to add another big name to their roster this year, but if they’re not successful it won’t be their fault.
