• Major Spoiler On John Cena’s WWE Future
Tomorrow on Saturday Night’s Main Event, Dominik Mysterio will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Rusev and Penta in a Triple Threat Match.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Dirty Dom is scheduled to retain the title in this match as WWE’s plan a few weeks ago was for Dominik to lose the Intercontinental Title to John Cena at Survivor Series 2025, which will be Cena’s final PLE match and final title win in WWE, which will make him a Grand Slam Champion.
After that, Cena is expected to the defend the IC Title against the returning Gunther in his final match on December 13.
Below is the card for tomorrow’s show:
– Vacant World Heavyweight Championship Match: CM Punk vs. Jey Uso
– Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
– WWE Women’s Championship Match: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill
– Intercontinental Championship Match: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Rusev vs. Penta
• Seth Rollins Says He Will Be Out Of Action For 6 Months (Video)
Seth Rollins appeared on today’s Halloween edition of Good Morning America.
The former Vision leader, who recently vacated the World Heavyweight Championship due to a shoulder injury he suffered at Crown Jewel, revealed that he will be out of action for 6 months.
Rollins also took a shot at the future of the World Title, saying that his title will be worn by a schmuck now. CM Punk vs. Jey Uso will take place for the vacant title tomorrow on Saturday Night’s Main Event.
It looks like Rollins will be cleared to return around WrestleMania 42, which will take place on April 18 & 19, 2026.
• Major Spoiler For Saturday Night’s Main Event
The WrestleMania 42 trailer featured the following wrestlers from the current roster: Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, and CM Punk – four names being pushed as the central figures for WWE’s biggest event of 2026.
According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE filmed promotional content with these names for Royal Rumble 2026 (which will take place in Saudi Arabia) as well.
The inclusion of Punk in that top-tier grouping is especially significant. Many within WWE now believe he has effectively taken the spot originally intended for Seth Rollins, who has been sidelined with injury. The visual placement of Punk among WWE’s core stars strongly suggests that the company sees him as a headline-level player heading into WrestleMania 42.
With Rollins out and Punk now being marketed alongside Reigns, Lesnar, and Rhodes, the Observer noted that this basically gives away the finish of tomorrow’s Saturday Night’s Main Event: CM Punk walking out as the new World Heavyweight Champion.
• UFC Star & WWE Have Mutual Interest In A Deal
Michael Chandler signed with UFC in 2020 and has since become one of the company’s most popular fighters. He made an appearance on WWE RAW last year, where he cut a promo and called out Conor McGregor.
Speaking on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Chandler, a huge fan of WWE, said that the idea of stepping inside a pro wrestling ring genuinely excites him.
“I think it intrigues me. I think it’s a lot of fun. I do think I would enjoy it. I think there would be some intrigue and interest on both sides. Spending some time with Sheamus and a couple of other friends I have. Diamond Dallas Page has been a friend of mine for a very, very long time, also. What’s really cool about him, too, which would be kind of similar to my story, because he always said, my career didn’t take off till I was 40, because he came in as a manager.
I think that’s one of the cooler things about the sport as well. It’s like a lot of mature men, the sport of mixed martial arts is a kind of a younger man’s game, but not really. We can get into that a little bit. I think young is awesome, and your body feels great, but you haven’t quite matured enough to get to that, not old man strength, but kind of that maturity of your body, and I think you don’t really hit that until 32-33, so I’m just a fan of the sport.
Love to go to the live events, obviously, love to watch it on TV. Obviously, WWE is now on ESPN at the time of this. So it’s pretty cool, man, a lot of fun to watch.”
When asked about when and where he’d want to debut, Chandler didn’t hesitate to name both a stage and an opponent.
“When’s WrestleMania? [April] So we can’t do WrestleMania. SummerSlam is in August? I knew there’s one in August. Minneapolis in August. Me vs. Logan Paul. Could be awesome. We’ll see. We got a lot of talks to happen between now and then. Obviously, they know I’m interested. I believe they’re interested. So we’ll see where we’re at.”
WWE and UFC are both owned by TKO Group Holdings, so the three-time Bellator Lightweight World Champion making the jump to WWE isn’t a far-fetched possibility.
