The more serious drug possession charge against Liv Morgan, involving a possible synthetic cannabinoid, was dropped from the criminal case on January 2nd 2024.

The remaining charge, possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams), was transferred to the County’s Misdemeanor Court Division.

Morgan’s scheduled arraignment on February 12th at the Sumter County Courthouse was canceled, and instead, a status conference related to the remaining charge is set for February 20th.

The possession of marijuana charge is a first-degree misdemeanor in Florida, carrying potential penalties of up to one year in jail or on probation, a $1,000 fine, a six-month driving license suspension, random drug testing, and reimbursement of all fees related to the sentence.

Liv has been out of action since July due to a shoulder injury. She last competed on the July 17th episode of RAW, where she & Raquel Rodriguez lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville.

According to PWInsider, Liv’s arrest won’t change the big plans WWE has for her in 2024:

“We are told that Morgan had already been penciled in as to when she would be returning to company storylines in 2024 and currently, this is not believed to change those plans.

The belief was she would be back in by the build to WrestleMania and was very much in the mix for what we are told is a ‘high profile program’.”
