• Old School WCW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WCW Veteran Mark Jindrak celebrates his 42nd birthday today.

Mark Jindrak was originally trained in the world famous “WCW Power Plant” wrestling school and had his official debut on WCW TV in the spring of 1999.

In 2000, Mark became a founding member of “The Natural Born Thrillers”, a faction featuring former Power Plant students.

When World Championship Wrestling was sold to Vince McMahon, Jindrak was signed by the World Wrestling Federation and came in as a member of the WCW/ECW Alliance stable during the infamous Invasion storyline.

He wrestled for the WWF/WWE till the summer of 2005 and then made a name for himself in Mexico under the name Marco Corleone, a name that he is still using nowadays.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK JINDRAK!

• Major Update On Rusev’s WWE Contract Status

During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that former United States Champion Rusev’s WWE contract is set to expire soon and that All Elite Wrestling could be interested in signing him.

Below is what Meltzer said:

“His deal is up relatively soon. I’ve heard nothing confirmed, but the tea leaves tell me — I mean obviously he’s not happy because he’s not there and he asked for a leave of absence, now that may mean that they’re gonna freeze him while he does that.

Him leaving would not surprise me at all. As far as AEW I think that they want him. As far as New Japan I would think that they would want him. It’s a question of how much they would go up on price for him. I don’t know what Gedo thinks of him. I would think that they would want him. I mean he’s not going to be a difference maker like Moxley and Jericho were, but he’s a good wrestler and he could do well there.

Honestly, I think in AEW he could do great because people will remember the Rusev Day stuff. I mean they won’t be able to do it because I’m sure they’ve trademarked Rusev Day. I mean they could always work around it and they’re really into that irony stuff so I actually think that if he left with that [AEW] fan base I think that he would do real well.”

Speaking of Rusev, he tweeted the following photo recently and many are seeing this as him taking a shot at WWE:
