– According to insider source BWE, WWE Officials are discussing the idea of current NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes having first ever televised main roster match against a main event level talent.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s getting called up to the main roster.
Nick Khan wants NXT to be seen as a legitimate third brand of WWE and this is possibly the reason they are discussing doing this.
Carmelo is set to defend the NXT Championship against Baron Corbin this coming Tuesday.
Hayes was involved in a backstage segment with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins on last week’s NXT. During this segment, Hayes was shown staring at the World Title.
It’s possible WWE books him to face Rollins in an Open Challenge for the World Title on RAW.
– During a LIVE session on Instagram, Braun Strowman said the following about the WWE stars who leak creative plans:
“Everyone asking me behind-the-scenes questions about wrestling, like, give me a break. I don’t know any of that stuff, and wrestlers who stooge off to the dirt sheets are a**holes.”
Strowman recently underwent a neck fusion surgery and will be out of action for a while. He was recently cleared to do light weight training.
– It’s public knowledge that CM Punk doesn’t like 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.
Despite that, Punk did the Hogan sequence in his match on AEW Collision this past Saturday. Punk’s Leg Drop obviously wasn’t strong enough to get him the win.
