• Major Update Regarding Stone Cold Steve Austin’s RAW Return

As we all know by now, WWE Hall of Famer & former 6 time WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin will be appearing on the September 9th edition of RAW from Madison Square Garden.

According to The Dirty Sheets, WWE officials have asked Austin if he would be open to getting attacked by “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt during this RAW appearance, similar to how The Fiend attacked other Hall of Famers like Mick Foley, Kurt Angle & Jerry Lawler.

While Austin hasn’t agreed to anything yet, WWE officials believe that he’s going to do it because he didn’t shoot down this idea immediately.

Below is what Dirty Sheets’ source revealed:

“This is big. Austin usually sh*ts on everything, however, this time he’s actually talking. Thus far, it is believed that Austin is okay with the idea, as he’s gone as far as discussing the idea.

He has even requested some offense if he goes ahead with it- which obviously isn’t going to be an issue for Bray.

While some may think it’s egotistical for Austin to ask for anything – while Foley and Angle willingly put Bray over – these people don’t understand how protective Austin is over his legacy.

Over the past 3 years, talks between the WWE and Austin have got nowhere near reaching a point where Austin has been willing to take a bump for anyone. So this is major progress.

Austin pretty much gave up on his in-ring return when the WWE squashed a WrestleMania 32 match with Brock Lesnar – a match that both guys desperately wanted.

Prior to this, the WWE also squashed a CM Punk vs. Austin match at WrestleMania 29, not wanting to over-spend on talent, with The Rock and Lesnar (on his original $5 million deal) already on board.

It is believed that Austin wanted both matches, and was also willing to look up at the lights for both.”
