4. Plans For John Cena Changed For This Week’s Raw?

– As we noted before, word going on was that 16 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena won’t be appearing on this week’s go-home edition of Raw for No Mercy 2017 because Cena will be in China for a SmackDown Live Event on Sunday and most likely won’t make it back to the USA in time for Raw.

However, the kayfabe reason for Cena’s absence would’ve been that he missed the show due to Braun Strowman destroying him in their match. But now, it looks like that won’t be the case anymore. In their Raw preview, WWE teased that fans can look forward to yet another confrontation between Cena & Roman Reigns on this week’s episode of Raw:

“John Cena and Roman Reigns’ microphone battles have gotten more intense each week since The Cenation Leader arrived on Raw to test Roman Reigns’ mettle, and a heated confrontation six nights before their anticipated dream match at WWE No Mercy seems inevitable. Although Cena seems to have the upper hand in terms of verbal warfare heading into this week’s Raw, live in San Jose, The Big Dog could be saving his most cutting remarks for last.”
