The Mae Young Classic tournament was introduced by the WWE back in 2017, which helped the company to find some of the most talented women in the business.

However, WWE did not continue with the idea in 2019.

WWE Hall of Famer Triple H revealed in an interview with Inside The Ropes earlier this year that the 3rd edition of the tournament was being planned for later this year as they expected the Coronavirus pandemic to be over by then, but obviously that isn’t the case.

The Wrestling Observer noted that WWE is no longer expected to hold the tournament this year due to the pandemic.
