Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day, featuring Mercedes Mone and Damian Priest.
• “Make the money” – Former WWF Personality On Mercedes Moné Overcharging Fans To Text Her
Mercedes Moné has introduced a new private messaging service, allowing fans to text her for a monthly fee of $99.99. This service has drawn criticism from many, but former WWF / WCW / TNA writer Vince Russo has voiced his support for Moné’s endeavor.
Speaking on his show ‘Shootin’ from the Hip’, Russo endorsed Mercedes Moné’s decision to charge fans for texts.
“I got, bro, people can text me through Cameo. They could text me. I think it’s two dollars a text. I think I’m 98 dollars cheaper,” Russo said.
He continued, “Yeah, man. Hey, listen. I say this, honestly, if there are people out there that are going to pay her 99 dollars for a text, take their 99 dollars for the text, man. I’m sorry, man. Nobody’s putting a gun to their head. If they’re willing to pay her that, make the money, man.”
Mercedes Moné’s service promotes “exclusive, one-on-one, personal, and private” access for subscribers, including a phone number reportedly “reserved only for her biggest supporters.”

• WWE Wrestlers Are Impressed With SmackDown Star’s Toughness
Damian Priest is currently sidelined, but he’s still a hot topic backstage in WWE. His toughness has impressed many.
PWInsider reports that WWE talent has been “marveling at the toughness” Priest showed, especially during his rivalry with Drew McIntyre.
Priest hasn’t wrestled since the United States Championship Fatal 4-Way Match at Backlash. That match included McIntyre, LA Knight, and Jacob Fatu. Damian delivered a brutal chokeslam off a platform and through tables during the bout.
Triple H confirmed at the post-show press conference that Priest was injured. “Damian Priest had a tooth knocked loose,” he stated, adding that Priest was “hoping it would stay in his head.”
This injury might be in addition to others. Damian also faced McIntyre in a physically demanding Sin City Street Fight at WrestleMania 41.
Despite his injuries, Priest is ready to fight again. On the May 16 episode of SmackDown, Priest challenged Drew McIntyre to a steel cage match. This final showdown is scheduled for Saturday Night Main Event on May 24. Priest declared, “I’m done playing games. Let’s end this.”
