Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, involving Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Matt Riddle & Goldberg.

• WWE Champion Roman Reigns called World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins a ‘bum’ at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference, and also made fun of how Seth dresses up, saying that Seth came in his wife’s shoes.

Drew McIntyre said the following about Rollins in a video he posted about this press conference:

“Our ‘World Heavyweight Champion’ came out to the stage, danced, said a whole bunch of nothing and stood by the side as the others talked down to him, talk down about the title, talk down about our locker room.

Man’s not the leader you think he is. I would never let anyone, not Cody, The Rock or Roman talk about me that way.

Have some pride, mate. Take the attention. It’s clear RAW needs a change, it’s clear Seth isn’t up for the job mentally and physically now.

Pat McAfee even called Seth the bloody forgotten name at the start of the presser. People forgot his name because he’s allowed it, played the clown and he’s been overshadowed. Now it’s time for a change.”

• Matt Riddle has openly disrespected Goldberg in the past, especially after Goldberg’s infamous match against The Undertaker at WWE Super ShowDown 2019.

However, Riddle and Goldberg squashed their beef and are friends now. They were even seen hugging each other during a SummerSlam 2021 behind-the-scenes documentary.

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Riddle finally praised the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

Here’s what The Original Bro said:

“I’m just not a huge fan of his work, I’m not a huge fan of his wrestling style.

I think he’s great at drawing money, I think he’s great at sports entertaining, I think he’s an awesome action star, I saw him playing Santa Claus in a horror movie, I told him all this.

When it comes to drawing and making money which, honestly this is what the business is about, he does it probably better, and he could still do it better than 90% of the people who do it today.

I do respect Bill because he came up and said something.”
