On last week’s episode of AEW Rampage, The Hardys & Mark Briscoe defeated Kip Sabian, The Butcher & The Blade.

During this match, Jeff slipped on Matt’s back while doing a move and fans on Twitter called him out for it.

Matt tweeted the following about it:

“Jeff slipped. It happens all the time in wrestling. Jeff sometimes slipped in the 90s, the 00s, the 10s & he will slip in the 20s. The people on social media that are trying to create the narrative that Jeff’s not good or whatever the f**k are pathetic & merely haters.”

A fan then replied:

“People did this same thing when he slipped on the Whisper In The Wind when he first returned. To me Jeff looks quicker and more energetic than he has in years starting with that Samoa Joe match and I’m excited for what’s in store for The Hardys in 2024.”

Matt replied:

“That WITW spot was actually on purpose, this was not. I agree that Jeff has looked tremendous since he returned & he gains more confidence every outing. I’m extremely proud of him & where he’s at in life.”

Speaking of Matt Hardy, discussion about his health began on Twitter after his wife Reby Hardy tweeted about how she wanted to talk to him about something, but his “Brain is fried from CTE”.

This led to a fan tweeting:

“We know what happens to wrestlers’ families when they have severe CTE.”

Matt Hardy then replied:

“Nothing about this conversation is funny. It’s in very poor taste.

I’m not sick. I don’t have CTE. I am well physically, mentally & emotionally & extremely healthy, especially for someone my age.”

Another fan then asked:

“That’s what your doctor said?”

Matt replied:

“Yes. Multiple doctors.”

Reby deleted her tweet later.
