Below are a couple of top Vince McMahon news stories of the day.
• During an interview on Sunday Night’s Main Event, Matt Riddle was asked about his interactions with Vince McMahon during his time in WWE.
Riddle recalled his first ever interaction with Vince. Here’s what he said:
“Awesome. He thought I was goofy. If anything, the first time we met, he didn’t like me because I was goofy. He’s like, ‘You’re goofy’. And I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m goofy, but that’s a good thing’.
He’s like, ‘Being a goof isn’t a good thing’. And I was like, ‘Well, I’m a goof that can kick your a$$, so,’ and then you can tell that didn’t make him happy.
And then Bruce Prichard hopped in, and it was like, ‘Hey, Vince, he’s pretty good at wrestling. Trust me.’”

• On his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker described the backstage atmosphere in WWE after Vince McMahon’s departure and Triple H running things.
Here’s what The Deadman said:
“There is like this calm backstage. The crew itself, the talent, they’re relatively young. Top to bottom, they’re young people. They’re all so chill. I’ve seen [Triple H] get worked up, but I haven’t seen him yell at talent. I haven’t seen him bad mouth anybody. There’s been times where you come back through the curtain and you know that a$$-chewing is coming. I haven’t seen that with him.
Like I said, I haven’t been around a whole lot, but I’ve been around enough, and I know him well enough, and I can just tell it’s such a chill vibe.
For me, I almost don’t like it because it’s almost too calm. To me, and this is just me on the outside looking in, it’s like they don’t care enough and it’s not that. It’s just the atmosphere.
I think because that roster is so young, that kind of person that can nurture like he can, I think is perfect for this time period in the industry.”
