Matt Riddle has insulted WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg on multiple occasions, mostly in order to get a match against the WCW Legend.
However, they are cool with each other now. They were shown hugging during a WWE behind-the-scenes documentary (which you can watch at the end of this article down below).
During a new video posted by WWE, where WWE Superstars were asked who has the greatest entrance pyro of all time, Riddle picked Bill Goldberg.

Goldberg plans to do an independent retirement tour, as WWE might not bring him back for an official retirement match and AEW paying him enough to agree to a contract seems unlikely at this point.
Riddle took to Twitter and posted a photo that shows him and Goldberg together backstage at WWE SummerSlam 2019 and added the following in his Tweet:

Does Riddle want to be Goldberg’s final opponent? We’re pretty sure he’d love to be, but it doesn’t look like it will happen.
Speaking of Riddle, he lost to Gunther in an Intercontinental Championship match at the Money In The Bank 2023 premium live event this past Saturday.
On Monday’s RAW, Riddle faced Giovanni Vinci of Imperium and won, but got attacked by Ludwig Kaiser after the match, which led to Drew McIntyre coming out to make the save.
Riddle will now team up with McIntyre to face Kaiser & Vinci on next week’s RAW.
