Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Corey Graves and Tiffany Stratton.
• Michael Cole has addressed Corey Graves’ recent frustration over his move to NXT commentary. Speaking on IMPAULSIVE, Cole confirmed that Graves’ critical social media posts were not part of a storyline planned by WWE.
Graves initially claimed he was trying to generate interest, but WWE didn’t see it that way. Despite the controversy, Cole praised Graves as an “unbelievable commentator” and one of the best he’s worked with, second only to Pat McAfee. He believes Graves and WWE are working things out.
Here’s what Cole said:
“I love Corey. I still don’t understand all the dynamics of it. I know that he sent something out on social media that was pretty critical of the company. He tried to explain to everyone that he was trying to generate some interest in maybe a type of storyline.
I don’t think the company saw it that way. It was not a work, right? It was a shoot—yes, allegedly, allegedly. But again, I think he and the company are working that out.
I love Corey to death. He’s an unbelievable commentator. Beside (Pat) McAfee, he’s probably the best partner I’ve ever had.”
• Tiffany Stratton recently shut down Logan Paul’s claim that she flirted with him, calling it “complete BS”. After Paul casually suggested that Stratton had hit on him, leading to tension with Ludwig Kaiser (Tiffany’s real-life boyfriend), the WWE Women’s Champion fired back, saying Paul was the one who approached her, claiming he said he “sees himself” in her.
Stratton dismissed the comparison, stating, “I am nothing like you, Logan Paul. I have a championship on my shoulder, and he does not.”
In a twist, Paul later revealed that Stratton was supposed to be a guest on his IMPAULSIVE podcast but canceled last minute. With the timing aligning with her public denial, fans are speculating whether the two incidents are connected.
Here’s what Logan said:
“You wanna know why [this interview with Michael Cole] happened so quick? Tiffy Time canceled on us. I can be honest because when we spoke about you being on our podcast I said ‘yes!’ Because we stagger—we don’t want people to think we’re a pro wrestling podcast, because it’s a big part of my life now.
Yeah, we had Tiffany on, but she canceled, and we’re like ‘dang we’re screwed,’ but then I said, ‘I just had a conversation with Michael, shot in the dark! Let’s see if he’s available,’ so dude, yes!”
