WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has sparked rumors of a potential return at Royal Rumble 2025 after revealing a remarkable weight loss of nearly 100 pounds.
Once weighing 377 pounds, Foley now tips the scale at 279.9 pounds, crediting his transformation to healthier eating, regular workouts, and the weight-loss drug Wegovy. Sharing his journey on YouTube, Foley emphasized the toll wrestling has taken on his body and his determination to prioritize health.
“I did it the old-fashioned way. It was really a three-step process: healthier eating, working out, and, I’ll admit, I cheated a bit,” Foley admitted, referencing Wegovy. He explained the challenges leading to medical assistance: “A doctor suggested Wegovy after seeing me at over 370 pounds. I know some people see it as cheating, but I felt like it leveled the playing field. My strength was gone, my metabolism had tanked.”
Foley added, “I thought, ‘I’m a heart attack waiting to happen.’” He also highlighted DDP Yoga and swimming as central to his fitness routine, saying, “I’m not 21 anymore, but I feel good—really good.”
Known for his personas like Mankind, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love, Foley has endured numerous injuries, including the infamous 1998 Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker, where he suffered a dislocated shoulder, a concussion, and internal bleeding. Over his career, Foley has also battled memory issues linked to repeated head injuries, along with other physical challenges like broken ribs and multiple knee surgeries.
Foley’s recent participation in Ohio Valley Wrestling’s (OVW) Nightmare Rumble, combined with his weight loss, has fueled speculation about a WWE return. When asked about the upcoming Royal Rumble event on February 1st, he teased, “I wouldn’t say I’m not entering the Royal Rumble,” laughing at the suggestion.
Adding to the buzz, Foley staged a playful phone call with a person implied to be WWE’s Paul “Triple H” Levesque, hinting at a comeback. “You saw me in the Nightmare Rumble? I’ve lost some weight, yeah. I’ve been working out. Royal Rumble? Let me call you right back,” he joked, ending the clip with Triple H’s iconic theme music.
While nothing has been confirmed, Foley’s dramatic transformation, recent appearances, and coy hints have fans excited about the possibility of the hardcore legend making a surprise return at one of WWE’s most iconic events.
